I’m Lauren - a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and founder of Embody Safety Wellness. My own healing journey taught me that true transformation begins in the body, not just the mind.

I work with people who’ve lived through trauma, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm - guiding them to gently regulate their nervous systems, feel safe in their bodies again, and move from surviving to fully living.

Using science-backed somatic practices and compassionate, trauma-informed support, I help you reconnect with the resilience and wholeness that’s been within you all along.

When I’m not in session, you’ll often find me walking by the ocean, dancing barefoot across the floor, or hiking a quiet mountain trail. These moments keep me connected, grounded, and present — just like the work I love to share with others.

My Why

For most of my life, I felt disconnected from my body. I lived in a state of panic, emotional isolation, and inner chaos. Traditional approaches only got me so far — until I discovered Somatic Experiencing® and other somatic healing modalities.

At first, it felt strange. I had never known what it was like to feel at home in my own skin. But as I began reconnecting with my body — truly listening to it — everything shifted. The more I studied the nervous system and experienced the transformation in myself, the more I knew I had to share this work.

It became clear: healing requires a full-body experience. It's not just about what we think — it’s about what we feel, what we hold, and how we learn to move through it all.

My Approach

I bring a warm, grounded presence and deep respect for your pace, meeting you where you are with responsive, body-led sessions. I believe your body holds immense wisdom — my role is to guide you back into relationship with yourself, helping you reconnect with your inner knowing and build safety from within. This work isn’t about dependency; it’s about empowering you to move through life with more ease, trust, and autonomy.

My approach is integrative and always evolving. I’m certified in Somatic Experiencing® and Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy (Embody Lab), and draw from practices such as breathwork, mindfulness, IFS-informed dialogue (Internal Family Systems), and attachment theory to support your healing journey.
